Many of ChemRite’s customers can confirm that their first point of contact with ChemRite CoPac was with Todd Plier, ChemRite’s Sales Manager (editors note: Todd was promoted to ChemRite’s VP of Sales in January of 2013. Please see newsletter article posted April 2013). Todd’s professional approach, complimented by his “can do” attitude, has attracted many companies to learn more about ChemRite CoPac. Todd is a Wisconsin native and attended UW Eau Claire. He graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration with a major in Marketing. Todd began his career with a Chicago based packaging distributor where, for 15 years, he worked as a sales representative covering the Wisconsin territory. One of his customers was ChemRite. During those years, Todd focused on learning ways to add value to the services his company provided customers. This allowed him to build long term relationships with various vendors and manufacturers as well as get hands on experience of the requirements of contract manufacturers.
In 2004, ChemRite decided to expand its sales force to focus on future growth opportunities. todd-pic1Todd was at the top of ChemRite’s potential candidate list for the new position. ChemRite’s management team respected Todd’s qualities of honesty, professionalism, commitment to his customer, the manner in which he represented his company and his “follow through” attitude. In turn, Todd was drawn to ChemRite because of its excellent reputation in the industry as a premier contract manufacturer. He had seen first hand how ChemRite had differentiated itself with its commitment to quality as well as the dedication to excellence that all of the ChemRite team members displayed.
As Sales Manager for ChemRite CoPac, Todd’s responsibilities include all phases of project management, catered to each company’s specific contract manufacturing needs. His vast experience with a unique range of projects and his “hands on” approach, ensure that each project flows properly to achieve customer goals. Todd can assist with the entire scope of a project, from initial packaging design to customized warehousing programs.
Todd has been married for 21 years to his wife, Ann, who is a teacher’s aid for the kindergarten class at St. Williams grade school. The couple enjoys their two daughters, Katie and Michelle. Katie is a senior in high school and Michelle is a freshman. Both girls are members of the high school varsity dance team and enjoy performing in various dance competitions, as well as support their high school football and basketball teams throughout the year. Todd also enjoys golfing and spending time with friends and family.
Todd has proven to be an ideal fit to represent ChemRite CoPac. His daily focus is centered on ChemRite’s commitment to quality, pride in ownership, attention to detail and customer focus. His concentration isn’t simply on closing a sale, it’s on creating a long term business relationship with a strategic group of customers and working together to achieve their corporate goals. As Todd stated, “There is a unique sense of accomplishment in watching a project evolve from concept to reality and seeing a customer satisfied with how well the process flowed. Whatever the customer’s goals are, if we can work together to achieve the solution, then it becomes a win, win situation for all involved”.
