New technologies continue to change the way the world does business. For instance, can you imagine trying to operate a business today without internet access or email? As part of our continuous improvement process, ChemRite frequently reviews new technologies that may benefit our customers and our daily operations. Recently, ChemRite’s management has directed its attention to investing in a camera surveillance system for our facilities. There are several key reasons for this facility improvement.

ChemRite’s primary motivation is an ongoing desire to function as an extension of our customer’s businesses. Our camera surveillance system will give customers full production transparency and accessibility. When the project reaches its end stage, ChemRite plans to provide customers with a secured web portal through our website which will grant them viewing admission to oversee their real-time production. An additional reason for the camera surveillance system is to provide ChemRite’s management team extensive and continual visibility of the production floor. Regular management monitoring will serve as a further means of ensuring that all departments observe strict adherence to ChemRite’s compliance procedures.

After a great deal of research, ChemRite chose a webcam digital surveillance system which is capable of integrating 16 cameras. We have currently installed 14. The cameras are located in strategic areas throughout our production facility for maximum viewing visibility, such as over each of our production lines, in our mix rooms and on the exterior of the building. The cameras offer amazing resolution and have a built-in low light feature which allows for crisp image visibility in virtually pitch dark. They utilize a 10x zoom lens for a closer look at specific areas of the production process. The new camera system also includes a DVR recorder which will document hours of video surveillance and allow for specific time frame playback. Within the production facility, the wiring for each camera is contained within stainless steel tubing and bracketing. These measures allow for 360 degree cleaning and sanitization of the system’s equipment in compliance with cGMP standards.

The Phase I installation of our new facility monitoring system is near its completion. As with any new system, the next several months will be a time period of personnel training and system monitoring. ChemRite’s management team will be taking the lead in learning the specifics of the new system before it is released for secured customer access. Protecting our customer’s confidentiality is of utmost importance to us and we will be taking intense measures to safeguard electronic access to production before the web portal becomes available. We invite you to contact a ChemRite representative with any questions or comments you may have regarding our new facility monitoring system.

ChemRite is pleased to be in the initial stages of this exciting new project. We are confident that the use of this new technology will further enhance communication between ChemRite and our valued customers. We eagerly anticipate the additional opportunity to act as your full service contract manufacturing partner.
