For many, the start of a new year is also a time to reflect upon the one ending. As the American writer Peter Drucker encouraged, “Follow effective action with quiet reflection. From the quiet reflection will come even more effective action.” That is certainly ChemRite’s goal as we move into the next year. Each year we have been in business has brought reasons to celebrate our achievements and 2011 follows that course. Because we view our valued customers and vendors as an extension of our team, we would like to take this opportunity to share some of this year’s notable highlights with you.

ChemRite’s commitment to continuous process improvement resulted in many valuable enhancements throughout the company. The most notable has been out new inventory control system. Although the IC system design and implementation was completed in 2010, our team devoted much of this year to refining the system’s details. Our warehouse and production staff has excelled at grasping how the change to full inventory lot control affects their individual job functions. Each department is enjoying the improved ease of locating materials, tracking inventory usage and inventory reconciliation made possible by the new electronic process.

Above all, we have been pleased to observe our customer’s response to the new inventory system. We greatly appreciate the customer feedback which has helped us to create relevant inventory reports. Customers now have the option to receive several types of inventory information, including end of runs, usage forms, stock status reports and inventory scrap analysis. These forms now provide customers with complete inventory transparency. Many have also commented on the noticeable improvement in inventory accuracy. Some have even chosen to fore go their annual physical counts, stating that the inventory numbers are so accurate that it is no longer necessary to send a representative for a physical inspection. While those who have visited ChemRite for physical validation, have commented on the improved organization of our warehouse facilities.

During 2011 ChemRite also implemented the first stage of our production facility monitoring system. When this project reaches its end stage, customers will be provided with secured web access which will grant them viewing admission to oversee their real-time production. ChemRite’s management team has been testing the new monitoring system and is planning to have secured customer access available in the near future.

In addition, the year brought several corporate achievements for the company. ChemRite celebrated its 35th year in business in June. New team members were added to our group of dedicated professionals, including the strategic expansion of our purchasing department to better serve our customers. ChemRite also received several industry acknowledgements such as the Goodwill Power Partner Award and a feature article in PMT magazine highlighting our revolutionary rotary volumetric time-pressure filler.

As we move forward from one year to the next, we look back at our accomplishments with satisfaction and strive to learn from our challenges. We would like to thank our esteemed customers and vendors, along with our dedicated team, for their commitment to working with ChemRite CoPac. Throughout our decades in business we have seen that, even with great success, there is always room for improvement. Therefore, with “reflection will come more effective action”. We have many exciting plans for 2012 and are looking forward to working together as a team to accomplish them.
